Over the years, I have discovered that learning to accompany myself from a place of self-compassion has proven to be a greater challenge. Developing an enduring practice of well-being that is holistic and respectful of my lived experience has been and continues to be a vital life quest. I hope that for you. ◇

My professional background has had pivots and pauses due to health challenges, yet includes a fulfilling career in Physical Therapy spanning from 1995 until 2015 and then again from 2018 until 2020: initially as a hospital-based Rehabilitation Technician and then as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) upon completion of university and licensure requirements in 1999. As a PTA, I worked in a variety of settings (hospital, outpatient rehabilitation and sports medicine, inpatient rehab, and SNF) and accompanied thousands of patients through short- and long-term recovery processes with customized treatments, functional guidance, and compassionate care as each one navigated various life challenges. In addition to patient care, I worked for several years as a Clinical Instructor and then as a Clinical Education Coordinator with university students completing their clinical education requirements for PTA licensure.

In 2015 due to progression of adenomyosis, iron-deficiency anemia, and POTS, I resigned from my work as a PTA, underwent surgery, and entered a year of complex recovery. As a result, I began considering additional vocational options that would allow me to work within my capacity and at a pace I was permitted to determine. In 2016, I enrolled in a Therapeutic Massage Program and upon licensure in 2017, began working in private practice as a licensed Massage Therapist with creative adaptations that honored my body’s needs at that time. In conjunction, I also obtained national certifications with NASM for Personal Training and Corrective Exercise to enhance my orthopedic massage therapy practice offerings. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact on in-person work, I began exploring virtual offerings to support my clientele’s well-being. However, after becoming ill and developing post-COVID complications alongside an exacerbation of existing health challenges, I had to take a step back from my practitioner roles altogether.

In ‍2022, after obtaining additional certifications, I began offering virtual person-centered Well-Being Coaching and Restorative Movement sessions to adults 21 years and older as an ISSA Certified Health Coach, NASM Certified Wellness Coach, and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

Beginning in 2026 alongside virtual work offerings, I offer onsite workplace well-being consultations and community education workshops within Indiana.
